This is a photo I took in late 2009, the iPhone 3G days. I think it’s so cute, and I’m not sure why I’ve never shared it before! It reminds me of Kona, my other home.

Good morning! I’m especially chipper today because the office is closed & I have the day off! It feels good to have a whole day with no obligations — Except this week’s Mixplate Monday post :)
Last Week’s Highlights
- Played the usual Mixplate Monday
- Grabbed Korean bbq for dinner
- Worked on more football stats with pops
- An evening of farmers market and Starbucks with Bobert
- Posted a couple of white boys do hip hop videos
- Got paid and paid some bills
Weekend Happenings
- Caught up on a shitload of tv shows, movies and podcasts
- Shared some favorite links as of late
- Watched Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Henderson; The Last Emperor may have lost his 3rd straight, but he’s still a legend and one of my favorites
- Put together another weekend soundtrack
- Kept H&H home from Tail Waggin’ Weekend. They were naughty, especially Hinano who decided to chew through his bed!
- Office Max, Target & Genki with Bobert
On the Agenda
- Working on my fitness; Heading to the gym, taking a group class, and buying a jump rope for quick home workouts
- Celebrating Matt’s birthday! He’s one of my very best friends, and I’m so glad he’s back in HI (for now, anyway)
- UFC 133! I’m especially excited for the Mendes-Yahya, Hammil-Gustaffson, and Belfort-Akiyama fights. And, of course, Rashad Evans vs. Tito Ortiz.
- Setting a few small weekly goals; I think I’m going to start doing that every week.
As of Today
- Sleeping: In late. And it feels so good :)
- Shopping: For some ingredients; I’m going to try a spinach swap this week
- Painting: My nails; I’m giving myself a manicure on this lovely little day off
