Pooch Pics: Hinano’s Exhausted
I had such a fun day rolling around in the yard with Hinano this weekend — Running around, practicing his sit (it can use some work, believe me!), and trying to fetch!
Then I made the mistake of leaving the dog treats (Hua & Hinano both love Beggin’ Strips) on the chair I had outside, while I ran inside to grab my phone and get a drink. He knocked over the chair, ripped right through the bag, and ate every treat! I hope at least shared a few with Hua, who was lounging under the Avocado tree.
Needless to say, this little cutie and I we were both pooped by the afternoon!
I wanna know, do you have dogs or pets? When was the last time you played around with them so hard they completely pooped out?!

Pooch Pics: Hua’s a Contradiction
My puppy Hua, a Miniature Dachsund & Fox Terrier (and possibly Chihuahua) mix, is such a contradiction!
- She looks somber, but she’s really a firecracker.
- Her eyes are closed and she looks like she’s sleeping, but her ears are pointed straight up and she’s wide awake.
- Her body looks so long, but she’s really so tiny.
For whatever the photos say about her, and whatever she really is, I love my little Hua girl to pieces <3

I’m Expecting! (Puppies, that is)
Last fall, my friend Pono’s dogs had puppies. She sold most of the litter (and at the time my Ikaika and Maka were still with us, so we weren’t in the market), and kept a pair of pups for herself.
Pono’s a busy girl; She works three jobs and lives alone. So when she mentioned it was getting a little overwhelming (and pretty expensive) to care for all four dogs I asked my mom if we could have one of the puppies at her house, and she said we can have them both!
I’m so excited to be a dog mama again :) I’ve been scouring the interwebs looking for cute matching pup stuff for our brother-sister pair, and you can see some of my faves on this Pinterest board! I think we’re officially getting the adorable dachshund/fox terrier/chihuahuas this weekend, and I can’t wait!

Happy Anniversary, Shiba Inu Hawaii!
Over the weekend, Shiba Inu Hawaii celebrated their first anniversary. Since the co-orchestrator of the whole thing is my co-worker and friend, Niki, of course I went! (Even though I was one of the few people without a Shiba, lol!). It was a bright sunny day, and so much fun!
