Link Lovin’ Vol. 3

As usual, yay for Friday! And yay for some of my favorite links from around the interwebs this week! Happy Link Lovin’ Friday :)

  • Wowzers, an American might just get caned in Singapore :/
  • Christen’s mini travel journal is simply adorable. Lehua made a gorg travel album too!
  • Daydream Lili interviewed Ann He, an amazing photographer who’s only 15!
  • Are you counting? Yes, Keion Bell just dunked over SEVEN people!!
  • Katrina linked to a great resource for clipart! I’ve downloaded a few things from Fuzzimo already, and you can probably expect to see some of it around Side Culture soon :)
  • I used to hate tofu. Now I la-la-love it! I think I might use some in this Kale and Balsamic Tofu Salad recipe from Cheap Healthy Good.
  • Can you believe that Africa is really this big?
  • Gala gives advice on handling girl jealousy. We all need this advice at some point, I guess.
  • Freelance Folder shared a Manifesto for a Freelancer with a Family. I may not have a husband or kids, but as I try to balance upcoming freelance projects with my other obligations (full-time work, school, family, hula, etc.), it’s definitely a worthy read.
  • If there’s one thing we know how to do at Kamehameha , it’s SING! And this year the Hawaii International Film Festival is featuring One Voice, a documentary about our beloved tradition, Song Contest, where each class in grades 9-12 compete against each other in an a capella traditional Hawaiian music contest. It’s a long and sometimes-stressful process, but it really is a beautiful event. PS: Go red.
  • I’m not vegan, but if this vegan rainbow cake tastes as good as it looks, I’m down!
  • Sandy A La Mode shared some of her favorite bits of prudent advice. #181 and #229 are my faves.
  • I think I’ve mentioned it before, but my family and friends are the loves of my life. I’m extraordinarily fortunate to have such amazing people in my life, and I think I’ll celebrate some of my fab girlfriends with a special date soon :) Thanks to Miss Social for the great ideas!
  • Why use frosting when you have marshmallows?
  • Have I mentioned that I’m completely obsessed with the 1920s? I love everything about it, especially the fashion and the music :) And now I’m totally geeking out over Boardwalk Empire on HBO, even this time lapse video of the building of the Atlantic City boardwalk (in Brooklyn?):
  • Want to make a font out of your own handwriting? It’s only $9.95!
  • June of Lune Village sits in at Elsiecake with an easy slasher scarf tutorial.

I wanna know, what’s rocking your world (online or off) this week?

Xoxo,
Tiera
