Mood Board: Owl-Themed Tea Party Baby Shower for Tiffany

My darling cousin Tiffany is expecting a baby boy (baby Bruce is his nickname), and we’re planning a tea party (well, our version of a tea party) to celebrate! We’re going for an elegant, outdoor, nature-inspired, modern tea party. I know, I know, it sounds a little convoluted, but it’s all coming together in my head, lol!

For decor we’re looking to make some paper poms to hang from the trees and use the Urban Outfitters owl banks or Moroccan lanterns for centerpieces. I also thought the tree stump card box was such a cute and clever idea, and fits so well with the owl theme, I’m just not quite sure how to pull it off!

I’ve been bookmarking recipes for finger food-style appetizers to make, and we’re planning on offering a few choices of tea sandwiches and salads (and her grandma’s homemade bakalau salad, of course!). And for dessert she wants chocolate-dipped marshmallows and other sweets. No cupcakes :(

For the twist, instead of serving hot tea, we’re creating an iced tea bar! We’ll have black tea set out in some clear samovars and flavorings (like raspberry and strawberry syrup, lemonade, and pineapple juice) in pumps and carafes for customization. Cute, huh?!

And as favors, we’re looking at customizing tea bags — And she even wants to give out condoms so no one else gets pregnant, lmao! Love her!

We’ve still got lots to do, but with a couple of months until the shower, there’s lots of time to work it out. But you know me and my theme parties, I just couldn’t resist diving in head first!

I wanna know, what do you think about the plans for Tiffany’s baby shower? Got any ideas to share?
