Sadly, after over a year of planning, I will not be going to the summer Olympics in London next summer :( Yup, 2012 is the year of the nolympics. And I am so freaking bummed!
My bff Joelle, her bf Jayson, and one of my other best friends Matt have been planning (and saving moolah for) this trip for ages, but only a couple of weeks ago we found out that we did not win our bid for actual Olympic event/game tickets — Not a single one.
I was so looking forward to knocking two things off my bucket list: Visiting London and attending the Olympics. And the fact that one of Joelle’s friends, and a student in her gymnastics gym, is participating in the games, would have just been icing on the cake.
So for now I’m still sulking, and trying to convince myself that visiting Cali later this year is a decent replacement :)
I wanna know, what’s bummed you out lately? To where are you planning to vacation this year?
