Things I Learned on Pretty Little Liars

Yes, I am a fan of ABC Family’s hit series, Pretty Little Liars. The show revolves around a group of high school girls dealing with the mysterious disappearance and death of their former queen bee — trying to discover the truth behind the tragedy, while also juggling school, family, sports, drama, haters, secrets, lesbians and some crazy guy/girl known only as “A”, who loves to torture the girls.

It’s not for teenagers or anything. It’s a riveting drama made for mature intellecutals only.

So as I anxiously await tonight’s new episode (What the eff is going on with the Ezra/Aria/Jason love triangle?!), I thought I’d reflect on all the life lessons I’ve taken away from this gripping series:

• If you can’t afford it, steal it.
• It’s actually okay for a high school student to date his/her teacher, as long as they’re both hot. Bonus: If your friends also have screwed up life situations it helps, then they won’t/can’t judge.
• Break into homes in your area and steal your neighbors belongings. Sure-fire way to get out of school, and your parents will give you all the attention you’ve been craving.
• Being a candy striper is all about the uniform. You don’t even have to volunteer at the hospital, no one will ask you to, or so much as notice that you took the outfits. And they’ll let you in anywhere, even the morgue.
• Wear makeup to sleep. That way when you wake up from your sexy dream with the aforementioned teacher and your next door neighbor, you’ll look good, not startled.
• Stalking people is a-okay, and everyone does it. Your sister’s current boyfriend (who you made out with), your sister’s ex-boyfriend (who you also made out with), the friendly cop — They’re all fair game.
• Go ahead and lie to the blind girl. She can’t see you anyway.
